APPLICATION PROCEDURE

To establish new telephone service for your home or business, you will need to come by our business office located at 630 Main Street, Ragland between 8:00am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday and fill out an application. This process takes only about 15 minutes. Or we can mail or fax you an application.

LINE RENT

Ragland Telephone Company’s monthly rates have been restructured by the Alabama Public Service Commission so that everyone in the state of Alabama pays the same rate. Monthly service for residential customers is $16.30 and for business customers it is $30.33.



BILLING PROCEDURES

All of our customers receive their bills on the first of each month. Monthly charges are billed in advance.

This means the bill you receive on the first of January, for example, will be for local service from January 1 through January 31. If this is the first bill you have received you will be billed for the month of January and possibly partially billed for however many days in December you had service as a prorated amount. Any toll charges you may have on your January bill will reflect calls placed from November 16 through December 15. You receive your bill on the FIRST (1st) of each month and payment is due by the TENTH(10th).

PAYMENT METHODS

You may make payment in several different ways. You may pay your bill in our office during regular business hours or you may use our night deposit located by our front entry door, You may also mail your bill to Ragland Telephone Company, P. O. Box 577, Ragland, AL 35131.
